Historical Project
This project is inspired by the 1950s working class youth subculture the Teddy Boys. Collectively they listened to Rock 'N' Roll music and had a very distinctive dress influenced by the upper classes, they did this with the aim of breaking down class barriers. For this collection I focused on the details in their drape jackets, drainpipe trousers, brothel creepers and boot lace ties with colours being informed by 1950s film posters.
